The Sunday Post: My First One Back!

Every other week I participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. The meme is weekly, every Sunday, but I’ve decided to do it bi-weekly since I don’t usually have that much to share every single week. So, here are some updates from the last 2 weeks!

→ This is my first Sunday Post since coming back to my blog. It’s also my first Sunday Post since the coronavirus & the stay at home order in my county. So, this section is going to be sadly sparse for a long time because I can only tell you I cleaned and changed dirty diapers so many times!

→ However, it is EASTER SUNDAY! Usually, we would be with my parents. Unfortunately, this will be the first time we are not with them (and on Emerson’s first Easter 😥 ) He doesn’t really doesn’t know what’s going on anyway, so we’ll always have next year. I hope you have a wonderful day. If you can’t be with your family, I hope you have a way to chat with them (my mom has discovered what FaceTime is and demands to see her grandson every day).

So, Happy Easter! Let’s all make the best of it ♥

  •  I am reading The Bone Houses for The OWLS.
  •  I am reading Percy Jackson to Emerson before bed so I won’t be finishing that for a while since we only read a couple of pages a night – but so far I enjoy it! I can’t wait for him to read it when he can understand what’s happening!

I didn’t get a chance to do too much blog hopping on my first week back! So, link some posts you think I should read in the comments 🙂

How was your Easter? Or Sunday if you don’t celebrate?

So sad that you can’t be with your family on Easter, but glad to hear that you are well! Hope you have a lovely day!

Happy first Easter to your son! It stinks that you couldn’t be with family for something like that, but it’s nice your mom is embracing FaceTime!

We aren’t religious but the Easter bunny visits so the kids enjoyed a day of gorging on chocolate and we caught up with my parents and assorted relations via Zoom in the evening.

Wishing you a great reading week and good health

It’s such a strange and difficult time. I hope you had a nice Easter despite not being able to be with your parents. My mom calls my daughter and talks with her every day. We haven’t set up the Portal Mini yet so they can talk face to face. We need to do that. I hope you enjoy your current reads and have a good week. Stay safe and well.

Word of caution: once you start face time with the grandparents they wont ever want to stop! haha! But really, I’m glad they can communicate in some way. I hope you enjoyed your day!

Happy Easter! Hope you got to enjoy your first Easter with your son, even if it was wildly different than previous years.

I think the toughest thing about the stay at home order is not seeing my grand kids! They’re 2 and 4 and we used to live 2 miles from my daughter until she moved up to East Bay/Northern California two years ago. It wasn’t bad because we’ve been traveling up there every other Thursday to spend a long weekend with them, but that has stopped. I can’t wait until the restrictions die down. We FaceTime, too, and we’ve done a few Zoom meets.

I’m not going stir crazy because I still have to go into work (i’m an ultrasound tech at a hospital), which is probably a good thing since my hubby is working from home all the time now.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter Sunday and caught up with family with FaceTime. Thank goodness for technology, right? Enjoy your books! 🙂

My mom can relate. My son is only 4 months old and my mom has already had to quarantine from him before (she was in the hospital at the beginning of the year with pneumonia) and now this situation. She’s in her 60’s with lung disease and diabetes so we don’t want to risk it. But she’s going a little mad not seeing him!

Hmm…I wrote a comment back yesterday and still don’t see it posted here. Hope you enjoyed your Easter. Happy reading!
