Every other week I participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. The meme is weekly, every Sunday, but I’ve decided to do it bi-weekly since I don’t usually have that much to share every single week. So, here are some updates from the last 2 weeks!
→ Since I just published my September Wrap-Up a couple of days ago, this post will be pretty short. Not much has happened since Tuesday 😆
→ Basically, it was just a relaxed week. I’ve been extra tired this week for some reason. I literally fell asleep sitting up on the couch after I ate lunch the other day! Clearly, my body is trying to tell me to relax. So, that’s what I did. I did some chores, though, because I can’t not get stuff done. Oh, and I already decorated the house for Halloween on October 1st!
→ I’m taking part in the House Cup Readathon on Instagram which requires daily reading. Like, if you don’t read, you lose points for your team. I thought this would be a great way for me to make sure I squeeze reading in every single day – and, hopefully, that habit sticks after the readathon is over. So far, I’ve succeeded.
→ The only fun thing I did, if all went according to plan (because I’m typing this up before it actually happens) is that I went to the Airshow with my dad! We went last year and it was a lot of fun. We just sit at one of the bars on the beach and watch all the jets do their tricks over the ocean. It’s super loud – animals and car alarms don’t like it. Anyways, if I did end up going, I’ll probably share some photos on my Instagram stories (which if you don’t follow me there, you totally should. I’m almost to 4500! 😆 )
Since I’m writing this post early, I’m not sure what I’ll be reading exactly. I will either be still reading Daughter of the Forest or have moved on. If I’m done with Daughter of the Forest, I’ll be reading The Haunting of Hill House probably with a YA title. Follow me on Instagram to see more up-to-date currently reading statuses.
- TBR & Beyond started a new feature called the Drama Llama Patrol and I think it’s super funny because it highlights the silly drama of the YA community
- The Biblio Fleur shared 6 cozy shows you should watch this season
- Elsie Artland shared 8 spooky movies to watch in October
- Sophie’s Corner discussed spoilers in reviews, comments, etc / trying to navigate them while still being a fangirl
- I discovered a new Classics Challenge from The Classics Club – if you want to read more classics, check it out!
How was the first week of October for you? Did you decorate yet? Are you getting into the Halloween spirit? What book are you currently reading?

I’m glad this was a very relaxing week for you. You totally need it!
Thank you! I hope you have a great week 🙂
I’m starting to get into the fall spirit! I’ve gotten out our (few) decorations, and I just picked up some seasonal reads from the library, so I’m excited!
YAY! That’s great! I pull out the specific fall decorations on November 1st – so right now it’s all skulls and death in our house for halloween lol!
That reading challenge surely is a nice way to help one read every day. Hope you’re having fun. 🙂
Happy readings!

That’s what I am hoping for! So far so good lol
Hope you enjoyed the air show! The Blue Angels perform here every year but it’s been several years since I’m gone. Watching it beachside sounds like a good time. 🙂
We didn’t end up going haha! But I still got to experience it, just from the comfort of my home. They fly right over lol
I love a good airshow! Something about watching the jets… especially if it’s over water, for some reason. Sounds like fun. And good luck with your challenge!
We didn’t end up going haha! BUT we live 2 miles from the beach so the jets were flying right over our home! So, we basically saw it lol
My daughter has put a Halloween doorbell on her bedroom door, but it’s not really a thing here.
Wishing you a great reading week, I hope the air show was fun.
That’s cute! Not a thing like where you are from or just for your family? haha
Not a thing generally where I’m from (Australia)
Oh, I really enjoyed air shows in the past! I went to a few when I was a kid with my dad. Got to see the Spruce Goose at one of them which was pretty neat! Hope you ended up going and had a good time! 🙂
We didn’t end up going hahah but I live close enough that we could still see them going over our house! And my dad did end up coming over for a visit anyways 🙂 I’m glad you like them too!
It’s the perfect time of year for catnaps! 🙂 I decorated in September lolol – I jumped the gun just a bit. And yes to Shirley Jackson! Love her work. 🙂
hehe that’s ok! I just have a thing about decorating for each holiday month specifically on the 1st lol So Oct 1st, Nov 1st, December 1st 😉 haha
Huh, I commented but it didn’t post! I came back to make sure. Anyhow, I’m sure I said it more eloquently in my original effort, lol, but I hope you were able to make it to the air show and have fun! 🙂
It posted! I have moderation on so I have to approve all comments before they’re published 🙂
Ooo! As a TV fangirl, I love the post you share of 6 cozy shows! *clicks link* Must go see what that’s all about. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed a chill start to October. Hope this continues for you, Molly. 🙂
hehe I hope you get some recs from the post! I hope you have a good week 🙂
I’m reading War Girls and it just took an odd turn to me. It sounds like you and your dad were meant to have a fun weekend! I hope it happened. I love that your are actively working on making reading a habit. It annoys me when several days pass and I haven’t read anything. I guess you really have to make time for it.
It annoys me too and stresses me out honestly! Because I think of my HUGE TBR and how I am making no progress with it lol
