The Fall Bucket List Book Tag

I haven’t done a book tag since July, so a new one is necessary! This fall-themed one from Read By Tiffany is absolutely adorable – so I’m jumping in! It’s called The Fall Bucket List Book Tag.

Here are her rules:

            • Link back to the original creator in your post.
            • Feel free to use any of my graphics in your post, or create your own!
            • Tag 7 other people at the end of your post, and let them know you’ve tagged them.

A TOTALLY AWKWARD LOVE STORY
by Tom Ellen & Lucy Ivison

I’ve raved about this book on several bookish lists type of posts and I’m doing it again – because this book is just too cute and it flew under the radar. First of all, it’s written by two authors who actually dated in high school, which I find adorable. It has everything that is real in a high school relationship or experience. Okay, maybe sometimes that can be not light-hearted, but at the end of the day, this book made me smile!

STALKING JACK THE RIPPER
by Kerri Maniscalco

I feel like as this series continued, it received more and more hype, but when it first came out, it wasn’t everywhere. I loved this book, and it totally has fall vibes if your fall vibe is murder (which, hellooooo, it’s October!).

I’ll admit, I need to continue this series desperately! I started the second book but never finished and I don’t know why. THE HYPE IS REAL and I need to jump on that train.

TROUBLE IS A FRIEND OF MINE
by Stephanie Tromly

Okay, if my memory serves me right (I read this a long time ago), this isn’t the most healthy of friendships. Zoe meets Digby who is kind of demanding and it can be super unhealthy at times – but his demanding personality is why this whole book happens! They investigate a kidnapping that might be related to the disappearance of Digby’s sister (so, I mean, of course he’d be obsessive). Overall, I thought even though the friendship could be unhealthy at times, that it created a fun relationship because it forced Zoe out of her comfort zone and into some crazy situations. If that makes sense. Plus, it’s like a YA Sherlock Holmes!

FANGIRL
by Rainbow Rowell

I really need to reread this one. This is one of the first books I ever read when I got into YA & the online book community. This means I don’t remember everything about it BUT I do remember it giving me the warm & fuzzies. I remember I really started looking for contemporary novels after this one. I remember loving that she was a nerd like most of us. Yep, definitely warmed my heart 🙂

*Note: I read this book so long ago I didn’t even have my blog yet (which I’ve had for at least 4 years). So, there is no review for it on my blog! WOAH.

TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE
by Jenny Han

Literally the only book I could think of with a character who cooks anything. She’s technically a baker, so I don’t know if I’d put her down as a “talented chef“. BUT BAKED GOODS FOR FALL? Perfection. Those are the fall vibes I’m talking about.

I need to reread book 2 before the movie comes out because I remember nothing.

*Note: Also no review for this because it was pre-blogging days. See, I got into contemporary for a time after Fangirl!

HEART OF IRON
by Ashley Poston

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK. I’m so glad I included it in a month for Blu’s Bookish Bag – otherwise, I don’t know if I would have read it. It’s all about her trying to save her android friend D09 and the adventure that ensues. It’s packed full of fun, the characters are fantastic, and I can’t wait to read book 2. It reminded me so much of Treasure Planet – do you remember that cartoon from 2002? I watched it so much 😆 This book definitely made me jump for joy!

This made me laugh so hard, haha! I enjoyed Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula, but book 3 kind of was meh for me. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series when you revisit it!

Ahh lovely answers for this tag <3 I love Fangirl so much, it's such a cozy kind of read and Lara Jean, yes, the first that comes to mind when it comes to cooking haha. We need more cooking characters in ya books, don't we.
Thank you for tagging me 😀

We definitely do need more cooking characters! Why does no one cook?! hahaha DO THEY EVEN EAT?

      • Reply Marie 10/12/2019 at 9:23 am

RIGHT? WE NEED MORE FOOD haha.

Always love Lara Jean. She’s so fun. Haven’t read ‘Trouble,’ but do remember thinking that it sounded REALLY fun, oh, and I’ll have to look up “A Totally Awkward Love Story,” too! 🙂

I loved Stalking Jack the Ripper. I’m currently reading the last book in the series and I’m a little bit terrified because I don’t want to say goodbye to the characters.

    Happy readings!
