Every other week I participate in The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. The meme is weekly, every Sunday, but I’ve decided to do it bi-weekly since I don’t usually have that much to share every single week. So, here are some updates from the last 2 weeks!→ The first 2 weeks of July have been pretty mellow! Even our 4th of July was a simple night. It’s been so mellow that, honestly, the highlight of last week was that I FINALLY caught up on laundry. Like, the basket is EMPTY. All I need to do is maintain that and I’ll be good. Y’all have no idea how long I’ve been trying to catch up with that evil thing 😛
→ Other than that, I’ve just been trying to read more (it took me 2 weeks to finish The Hobbit) and find my groove with blogging again. Coming up with new ideas is honestly hard, y’all.
→ The next two weeks should be more exciting because I’m seeing The Lion King aaaaannndddd….we find out the gender of baby next week! I honestly cannot wait to finally know. We have names picked out already and I just want to be able to call baby by whatever their name will be!
- A simple review of The Hobbit after my reread
- Participated in a book tag – My Bookish Life from A to Z
- A ranty review of Aurora Rising (spoiler: I didn’t like it)
- An actual TBR for July based on my #BARD status for The Bookie Trials
- And my coming off hiatus post with some life updates!
- A review for a horror/sci-fi
- Mini-reviews for tv & movies I’ve watched lately (it’s obviously been a while since I updated my binge list!)
- A TTT post because I liked the topic 😉
- Maybe a review of The Lion King!
- Austine from NovelKnight talked about the negative impact of ARCs and why she doesn’t want them anymore – a must read post!
- The ladies over at Twirling Pages talked about how their reading tastes have changed
- Veronika from Wordy and Whimsical talked about disclaimers before posts
- Krysti from YA & Wine SIGNED WITH A LITERARY AGENT!!!
- Paper Procrastinators called us all out on judging books by their covers
- Alice from The Cosy Shelf shared internet trends she no longer follows
- Kristen from Metaphors and Moonlight shared 5 ways she’s changed as a reader since blogging
How has July treated you so far? How many books have you managed to read and did you like them or hate them? Will you be seeing The Lion King?

Catching up with laundry is always so hard. I always end up searching for clothes to dress that are still inside the laundry basket! =P It must be so exciting to find if you’re having a boy or a girl. 🙂
Happy readings! 😉

Yep, I do that too haha I just fall so far behind on laundry that I’ll REALLY need a piece of clothing out of there >.< oops lol. And yes! We're very excited :)
How exciting! I liked knowing the sex of my baby, because picking a name is really, really hard. I felt so much pressure, as the child would be stuck with that name until they were at least 18.
That is so true! We’ve had names picked for years but there is still pressure! I hated my name growing up so here’s hoping our child doesn’t lol
Yay laundry! My laundry bin hasn’t been completely empty in years, more just always gets added before I can finish, so I’m impressed lol. But wait, baby?? What baby??!
I meaaannn…there’s stuff in it now but only enough for ONE load. I’m doing it tomorrow before it gets out of hand with the work week (because it will easily get out of hand lol). It feels good while it lasts haha!
& YEAH! I shared about the news in my “I’m back” post but yeah, we’re expecting our first child in December 🙂
It’s exciting to find out about your baby! I hope you enjoy Lion King and that reading goes well this month. 🙂
Thank you very much! 🙂
I would LOVE some horror and sci-fi reviews! And congrats on finding out the gender of your baby. I feel like picking a name must be so difficult.
That’s awesome! I was actually kind of curious if anyone would scare about a sci-fi horror lol. And thank you! We have names picked out already, just need to know which one to use 😉 haha
I have two kids and for the first one we found out it was a boy and for the second baby we decided to be surprised and it was a girl. I liked both ways of doing it but it took longer to bond with my daughter I think because we called her it for 9 months! lol. Congrats on the baby!
I don’t know if I could be surprised! That’s how my mom did it to but I want to know so bad haha I want to decorate the nursery a little. Also, that’s hilarious you called her it…I do too sometimes. I TRY not but it’s hard when I don’t know what to call him/her lol
