20 Books of Summer TBR

*I am linking this to Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share my sign up post for a new challenge I came across while blog hopping the other day. It’s called 20 Books of Summer and is hosted by 746 Books! When I was reading her announcement post, I thought it was a challenge that seemed maybe do-able (for me) but, most importantly, not stressful! If you want to read the full announcement post from 746 Books, click here!

So, what is 20 Books of Summer? Pretty simple, read 20 books between June 1st and September 1st. That’s it! Even better, just customize it as you go or decide early to read less. Want to read 10 instead? Go for it! Want to change it to 15 halfway through the challenge? Cool! That flexibility is what I look for when I decide to participate in challenges these days because if you’ve been following my blog for any extended period of time, I always fail reading challenges/readathons. For 20 Books of Summer I’ve decided to make a list of 20 books just to give me options, but I’m going to aim for 10 instead!

I don’t think I need to ramble any more! Let’s get to the 20 books I want to read. I’m keeping this post super simple – I’m just sharing the cover for each book (there’s 20, you don’t need my commentary for each one 😆 ) BUT Y’ALL. I’ve had a blog for how long now? And I just discovered how I can just link the cover to the Goodreads! So, if any of these covers catch your eye, just click on it and it will take you to the Goodreads page for more info.

That’s it! I say that’s it as if there isn’t a ton of books on this list. I have a lot of books in there that are for review so those will take priority, but I’m excited for all of them! We’ll see how I do.

Side note: While I finally figured out how to link the book covers to the Goodreads, I’m not in love with how it looks. I don’t know how to get rid of the spaces between them (it doesn’t look like that in my editor) or how to center them. So if anyone has tips on how to format linked covers better, please let me know! (See, you never stop learning 😆 )

Have you read any of these? Are any of them on your TBR? Did you discover any new books? Let me know!

I love flexible reading challenges! Good luck with this one. It would probably take me from now until September just to read DUNE. Ha ha.

    Happy TTT!

oh it definitely will take me so long to read Dune. I was hoping to have it done by the time the movie has come out but I haven’t even started it yet so that probably won’t happen lol

I love that cover of Dune. And a lot of these are new to me- I’ve been really behind on staying up with new releases so this week is introducing lots of good looking new books to me!

Oh I fall behind on new releases all the time lol My brain just can’t remember anything further than 1 month out.

I haven’t read any of these, but they look like a great mix of books to read for the summer. And I’ve always wondered why more people don’t just link book covers to Goodreads! But I’m more of a newbie so I figured there was a reason for it, so I’ve never done it either. Haha! Happy reading!

I just didn’t know how. hahahah I don’t really like how it looks but it makes it easier for people I think.

So I started a comment but I cannot recall if i actually posted it (my laptop restarted so I lost it either way) so… if I did, just disregard? 😂 I bought Daughter of Sparta, and really want to get The Great Big One when it comes out! I am reading The Past Is Red right now and okay I LOVE IT. It is so bizarre but I am in love with it. Serpent & Dove was really good, but then I heard the sequel was very “meh”? So I am waiting to see how the last book is, heh. Also, I need to read Leviathan Wakes. One of these days, I keep telling myself! Hope you enjoy these! This is a fun challenge! (I am also cracking up about the Goodreads thing- but hey, better late than never, right? 😂)

OK RIGHT ? I’m sort of reading The Past is Red. I started it but haven’t picked it up in a couple days but YES it is so bizarre hahah But I am enjoying it! I’ve heard nothing but great things about Serpent and Dove but I heard the same thing recently about the sequel! Sometimes middle books suck, though, so I’ll go in with lower expectations lol.

Sshhhh, don’t laugh at me lol I’m a slow learner hahahah

A lot of these are on my TBR! The challenge also sounds fun. 🙂 The only book I’ve read on your list is Serpent & Dove which I LOVED. However, the follow-up was a huge disappointment. I think it’s because I was expecting a duology, and then they changed it to a trilogy. Now there’s a middle book that doesn’t really do anything for the story or character development, but just gets the characters from one place to the next.
