10 Movies You Shouldn’t Watch Before Going To The Woods

As you know, I’m camping this week! I’ll be surrounded by the beauty of nature – trees, streams, lakes, fresh air, clear skies — it’s going to be lovely. As long as I don’t run into any psycho killers along the way.

There are plenty of movies that depict a group of teenagers that get stranded in the woods and start getting picked off one by one by some crazy person that lives in the woods. Or maybe there’s a ghost haunting the area. Or maybe they contract some flesh-eating disease. My point is: there are so many movies that remind us to BEWARE OF THE WOODS. Or just don’t even go on a road trip. You know what, just…just don’t leave the house. It’s dangerous out there.

*Warning: I use gifs from the movies, graphic gifs, so if you get queasy from gore or are easily frightened, proceed with caution! Also, this is purely for humor. So, yeah, don’t take me too seriously.

10 Movies You Shouldn't Watch Before Going To The Woods (3)

The Evil Dead

Because there might be something hiding in the basement of your family’s cabin rental

This is actually really freaking me out while writing this. I feel like she’s staring into my soul.

Cabin In The Woods

Or you might be part of a strange ritual organized by scientists

Hush

There could be a chance you’ll be stalked by a masked man

Friday the 13th

Or get attacked by something, or someone, in the water

Cabin Fever

That is if you don’t catch a flesh-eating disease from the water first

Wrong Turn

And if that doesn’t happen, you might piss off the locals

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Seriously, don’t piss off the locals

The Hills Have Eyes

Or take any weird detours, just stay on the main road for christ’s sake

Jeepers Creepers

And pray that there isn’t a creature out of hibernation on a feeding spree

Tucker and Dale Versus Evil

But, you know what, it could all be just one big misunderstanding. There were never any psycho killers in the first place. Go enjoy your hike!

I promise I’ll be alive by the end of this week!

Haha I love this. I almost never watch scary movies though. Literally I could probably count on one hand all the horror movies I’ve seen. However the Friday the 13th one just brought back memories for me of this Nintendo game I used to play in which I basically just screamed a lot and died because I’m really not good with stressful video games in which things try to kill me lol. Anyway, I’m going to leave your post now because these gifs are creeping me out 😛

Oh goodness, my mother raised me on scary movies. It’s all we watched when I was younger. Also, that’s hilarious! Do you know what the name of the game was? &hehehe yeah, I kind of tried to find the creepiest gifs hahah

Just to be clear, that’s not me playing lol. It’s just a video I found, but this is the game.

OMG! Cabin in the Woods is seriously one of my favorite horror movies just because it’s so unbelievably unexpected! It caught me so off guard! I’ve also been wanting to re-watch The Hills Have Eyes lately. An oldie but a goodie! 😛

It was! I didn’t expect that story AT ALL when I saw it! So, props to them. The Hills Have Eyes freaks me out. I’ve seen the new one a couple times and it’s just over-the-top gross to me >.<

I loved the Cabin in the Woods! I saw it in the cinema (alone!) and I was the only one in the theatre laughing my head off. It was hilarious. I was crying with laughter.
Hush still creeps me out but I want to watch it again… Except not alone this time. It was a mistake. Also it was your fault I watched it and got really scared that one time :p
    These GIFs are so creepy!

WHOA! Alone! I’ve never seen a movie, let alone a scary one, alone. Horror movies are kind of funny sometimes. The cheesiness.

Hhahah, I loved Hush! Also, I kind of put that warning in the beginning because of our situation with Hush xD

They are funny sometimes! Especially Cabin in the Woods. 😀 I wanna watch it now.

Hush was creepiest when he wore the mask. It scared me so much!! Also I may have screamed when there was a jump scare. Hahahaha thanks 😀

haha I can’t do jump scares. Well…. I mean, I can, but they scare me the most xD
